Do you accept cash at the bar and on your stalls?

Yes. We accept cash, contactless and card!

Do you welcome ‘walk ins’ at the Alpine Bar?

We do welcome walk in’s, but we highly recommend booking a table in advance for peak evening and weekend times.

What are your opening hours?

Alpine Lodge - 11am to 11pm

Catering Traders - 11am to 10pm

Retail Traders - 11am to 8pm (Mon-Sat | 6pm closing from December 26th onwards) 11am - 7:30pm (Sun)

Do you have toilets?

Yes we have toilets available and these are cleaned on a 2 hour schedule. There are also public toilets just 30 seconds away in The Lower Gardens

How do I find the Alpine Bar & Market?

We are located in Bournemouth Square, next to the Obscura Café.

Do you have a car park?

No we don’t have a designated car park, however, there are plenty of car parks available in Bournemouth. Please see; https://www.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/Parking/Parking.aspx

Do I need to bring ID?

We will be operating Challenge 25 so please be ready to provide appropriate age identification should you wish to consume alcohol. Alcohol is of course only available to persons 18 years or over.

Is the Alpine Bar accessible?

Yes, there is level access to the venue. Please advise us in advance if a member of your party requires wheelchair access and we will endeavour to allocate you a suitable table.

Can I bring my children?

The Alpine Lodge welcomes children before 6pm, our license dictates that we only allowed over 18’s after 6pm. Please note, under 18’s are not allowed upstairs.

Can I bring my dog?

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the market and downstairs of the Alpine Lodge.

Do we have a dress code?

Whilst we don’t have a strict dress code, visiting the Alpine Bar is an experience. Think smart/casual - so smart trainers are OK, but no sportswear please. Wrap up warm, as this is an outdoor bar experience.

The Great Bournemouth Christmas Trail T&Cs

There will be a weekly draw every Friday, in which you can win the following for a family of four: family ticket to SKATE Bournemouth or credit to spend at Bournemouth Christmas Market.

On the 24th December 2024, there will be a draw of all submissions for the ‘grand prize’ TBC.

To be in with a chance to win, you need to complete the word spelled out in the ‘Great Bournemouth Christmas Trail’ and submit the form provided in the Letters To Santa box by WHSmith on Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth. The forms can be found within the Alpine Lodge, please ask for the Children’s Activity Booklet at the bar before 6pm, no purchase required.

  • This competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom.

  • There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition. To enter this competition, you must complete the word spelled out in the ‘Great Bournemouth Christmas Trail’ and submit the form provided in the Letters To Santa box by WHSmith on Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth.   • By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  • Only one entry per person, multiple entries will be disqualified.

  • To be eligible for entry into the grand prize, you must submit your entry by the 23rd December 2023 at 11:59am. After this date, no further entries will be permitted.

  • No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received, for whatever reason.


The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

  • Alpine Christmas Markets reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of Alpine Christmas Markets control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

  • Alpine Christmas Markets are not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.


The prize is as follows:

  • The prize is as stated as above and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

  • Winners will be chosen at random by Alpine Christmas Markets, from all entries received and verified.

  • The winners will be notified by email and announced on Bournemouth Christmas Market’s verified social media platforms within 28 days of the closing date. The winner will only ever be contacted by Alpine Christmas Markets. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

  • The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected/is delivered.

  • The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  • By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  • The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

  • The winner agrees to the use of their name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

  • Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
